Human Resources Responsibilities Perform activities in the human resource area.
Includes pre-screen, recruit, interview, and place workers in appropriate department.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
Process hiring-related paperwork.
Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws.
Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
Address employee relations issues, such as employee concerns.
Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.
Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
Schedule or conduct new employee orientations.
Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, or performance evaluation forms.
Confer with management to implement personnel policies or procedures.
Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications.
Conduct exit interviews (as needed) and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
Provide management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports.
Schedule or administer skill, intelligence, psychological, or drug tests for current or prospective employees.
Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants.
Assist with administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal legal requirements.
Coordinate and/or conduct employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.
Conduct exit interviews with employees; communicates findings to management.
Respond to inquiries regarding the organization's processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct ongoing information and training sessions to develop employees and provide support and problem resolution.
Coordinate distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, and employee recognition.
Identify potential employee-relations issues and makes recommendations to management.
Conduct investigations into claims of harassment or other company-guideline violations.
Coordinate administration of workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
Conducts and compiles personal and professional background investigations for possible candidates.
Prepares reports on background findings and makes recommendations.
Reviews completed background interview forms of candidates with each applicant, checking for inconsistencies, errors, omissions, falsifications and minimum requirements to ensure accuracy and completion.
Prepares final background investigation package for presentation to supervisor and management by organizing all investigative material in accordance with established procedures.
Meets regularly with supervisor/management in order to keep them apprised of the status of the investigation.
Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Director of Human Resources.
Education/experience requirements:
Minimum
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and a minimum of four (4) years of Human Resources work experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources work experience.
Native American preference is observed:
KTTT recognizes preference for KTTT tribal members and qualified Native American tribal members including preferential treatment in recruitment, hiring, promotions, layoffs and reductions in force so long as they meet minimum job qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
